How to choose the E-Liquid?
2021-10-26

We've put together this beginner's guide to help you choose the type of vaping that may be best suited to you. We've based this guide on choosing the type of e-liquid as a first step, which in turn will make choosing your vape hardware a lot easier and less overwhelming.

What are E-Liquids?
E-liquid, also called "vape juice" by many, is the fluid used in vaporizers and electronic cigarettes that creates the actual vapor. They fall into a few main categories, based around either the hit to the back of your throat or the amount of vape "smoke" that you will exhale. (Well, it isn't really smoke, the nicotine infused vapour is essentially steam as no combustion is going on.)

What Are the Main Types Of E-Liquids?
Most e-liquids are either known as VG (made from vegetable glycerin) or PG (made from propylene glycol) and include water, nicotine and food flavouring. E-liquids with a VG bias tend to give the larger vapour clouds at the expense of the throat hit. Those with a PG bias provide the hit to the back of the throat that many trying to give up smoking want.

How Do I Decide the Right Nicotine Strength For Me?
As a general rule, consider choosing an e-liquid with 3mg of nicotine if you only smoked one or two cigarettes a day, 6mg if you smoked under 10 per day and want a decent throat hit, 12mg if you were up to and above 20 a day and 18mg and higher if you puffed like a chimney.

Alternatively, you don't have to have Nicotine in your e-liquid, if you don't want to. However, if you are trying to give up cigarettes, you may want to start with an e-liquid that helps you with cravings for nicotine in the first few weeks or months after you have stopped smoking.

You can find more information to help you choose the right nicotine strength in this guide.

Types of E-Liquid
We have a huge range of Vape E-Liquids for you to choose from with varying levels of nicotine and different PG & VG combinations. Here's an overview of the range that we offer and recommendations as to which vape hardware is best for each type.

50/50  and 30/70 E-Liquids
50/50 or 30/70 e-liquids offer the best of both worlds, with a balanced ratio of PG and VG. In recent years, this ratio has become increasingly popular due to it's versatility. The 50% PG/50% VG blend makes these e-liquids suitable for use in the majority of vape kits or pod vapes and offer a perfect balance of flavour and vapour production. Our E-Liquid range comes in a wide variety of flavours and nicotine strengths 0mg, 3mg, 6mg, 20mg.
